Thanks to SMASTI. If you are a struggling surgeon and novice in the field of Laparoscopy, like me now, this advice is from one surgeon to another. Sehgal Neo Hospital is as of now (at the time of writing this), the only center in Delhi and NCR region which will teach you to see the patient pre operatively, scrub in the OT, paint and drape, insufflate, place all the ports, perform the surgery, close and observe the patient post operatively and go home proud for having treated the patient. You must attend Dr. J.S. Chauhan’s teachings. He will be your inital navigator and preceptor in the field of Laparoscopy. You will learn the most from Dr. Narin Sehgal Sir. Just quietly observe him and that will itself teach you a lot. Thanks to Dr. Sehgal, Dr. Dhingra, Dr. Manoj, Dr. Subodh and Dr. Alka Jain for teaching me so many things, for guiding me through all odds, for leading me to light whenever I wondered, for sticking with me and bearing with my faults. Thank you for believing in me and helping me navigate through all my mistakes.
I want to thank Dr. Chowhan sir for giving me an opportunity to avail Laparoscopic and endoscopy training at SMASTI Sehgal Neo Hospital. I want to thank Dr. Narin Sehgal Sir, who was my mentor for 2 Months, and I have no words to thank Dr. Narin Sehgal, for his mentorship and guidance. I want to thank Dr. Dhingra Sir, who taught me how to maintain patience, while performing Laparoscopic surgeries. Dr. Manoj sir, under whose guidance I have performed maximum number of surgeries, independently and which gave me lots of confidence. Dr. Alka Madam who allowed me to assist her in gynae laparoscopic surgeries. In the initial phase, I was not able to hold the upper GI Endoscope properly but Dr. Tarun sir & Dr. Piyush Sir took personal pains in teaching me the upper and lower GI endoscopy from scratch. So overall it was a very nice and fruitful experience for me to have done the two month residency program at SMASTI Sehgal Neo Hospital. I want to again thank all the faculty members.
